Microdots are miniature particles with a unique identification code written on them. This code is always the same for one container. It is ruled out that one code repeats in other containers. According to a container type, application is done by painting (for smaller things) or spraying (for bigger things) of very solid and adhesive varnish with dispersed microdots on selected things. One of the properties of the bearing varnish is its sensitivity to UV lighting. A place with the applied marking is highlighted and coloured and it enables to find the microdots during identification. For unambiguous identification of a thing, finding of only one microdot is sufficient. Found microdots are read with a simple pocket microscope, that is why it is necessary to see them. The microdots cannot be found in a remote way and they do not emit any electromagnetic waves.

The microdots of 0.3 - 1 mm in size and about 0.02 mm of thickness are made of a metal plate which bears holographic protective elements against falsification.

The containers cannot be bought separately, they are parts of identification sets.

Microchips (or transponders to be more precise)


Microchips are miniature electronic elements that have their identification code irreversibly programmed directly during the manufacturing. The number of possible combinations is in hundreds of billions and the producer guarantees that there are not two microchips with the same code. The chip itself is passive and it is activated only in the field of a suitable reading device. To increase its reading range and to find out its resistance to outside impacts, chips are equipped with a miniature aerial and its is encased together with this aerial - a transponder or TAG is made. The transponder design determines the suitability for application on various things and for various environments. The code can be read using an electronic reader, its reading range varies according to the reader type and aerial size and it is usually within the range of several to tens of cm. Together with the microdots, the microchips cannot be searched for in a remote way as well (only within the range of a reader) and if they are not activated by a reader, they do not emit any electromagnetic waves.

Microchips are produced in the whole range of frequencies and types and they are incorporated into the KRIMISTOP® system in the way that they fit the general conception of a system solution.

Etching set

Special labels with impressed coding marking, identical with the code of microdots, is placed on vehicle windscreens and they are coated with etching paste. After several minutes, the label is removed and the place is cleaned. A code, very well visible, unremovable and accessible to everybody, is left on the windscreen. On the basis of this code, quick check of the thing in the central register can be done.

Reading device - microdots


Finding out identification data written on a microdot is done in an optical way. Simple portable microscopes are used with magnification of 30 - 100 and with additional lighting. These microscopes enable to identify comfortably found microdots even in the open air.

Reading device - microchips

Hand-held reader

Encased microchips (transponders) contain passive electronic circuits which, having been activated by a reading device, send out information with its identification code. Common readers are in the manual design with the possibility of connecting them with an external aerial and with the range of several to tens of centimeters.

Stationary reading devices are used for special applications. These devices are equipped with detection frames. Special readers with long range are also used. The reading range may be within a few centimeters to several meters.

Warning labels


Warning labels of the KRIMISTOP® system inform everybody about the application of protective elements on a thing or they mark building rooms with such things. The main objective in the field of property protection is to deter potential thieves from thefts. Things marked by the KRIMISTOP® system bring thieves increased risk when keeping or selling such things. By placing the labels, you inform other people that your things are marked.
